“Cartizze” wine, a true pearl of Italian wine-making, originates from a small “cru” called – like the wine itself – “Cartizze”, situated in the heart of DOCG wine producing area of the municipality of Valdobbiadene, which thanks to its excellent geoclimatic combination produces excellent grapes for a sparkling wine of renowned quality. Characterised by a semi-sweet flavour and dense even in colour, one may appreciate its intensity, its tempting, broad aromas, and its well-rounded flavour.

Area of origin: Colline di Cartizze grape variety – Municipality of Valdobbiadene.
Average altitude of vineyards: 200 - 300 metres sl.
Type of terrain: varied soil with morainic, sandstone and clay elements. Limy, low-nutrient, welldrained.
Harvest period: 20 September - 10 October.
Vinification: soft pressing of grapes, static decanting of must, fermentation at controlled temperature (15-18°C). Fining and left in contact with the feccia nobile (characteristic fine sediment) for three months.
Second fermentation: Charmat method in pressure tanks.
Re-fermentation temperature: 15-17°C.
Duration of cycle: approximately 40 days.
Alcohol content: 11.5% by vol.
Sugar content: 18-20 g/l.
Appearance: Straw-yellow colour.Thick foam with fine, persistent perlage.
Nose: Generous and intense with notes of apple, pear and rose. Harmonious and elegant with aromas of great freshness.
Palate: harmonious and elegant, extremely smooth and fresh. Richly fruity, with good fullness and length.
Serving: chill just before serving to 7-8° C. Ideally served in an ice bucket.
Storage: in a cool, dark place. Avoid long periods in the refrigerator.
